Freddie Mercury Queen Night at the BBC announced for Bohemian Rhapsody 50th | Music | Entertainment

It’s been 50 years since Queen released their iconic single Bohemian Rhapsody from their 1975 album A Night At The Opera. Now, in celebration of Freddie Mercury’s magnum opus, Queen Night at the BBC has been announced this afternoon. This Saturday, October 18, BBC Two is marking the half-century anniversary with a special night of programming.

It all kicks off at 8:25pm with the new 2 hour and 20 minute documentary 40 Hits of 1975 at the BBC, “plucked from the BBC archives”. Then, at 10:55pm it’s an hour long documentary The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody, a repeat diving into the making of the classic Queen song. This will be followed at 11:55pm by Queen: The Legendary 1975 Concert, showcasing the band performing at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. And the night will be rounded off at 12:55pm by Queen at the BBC, “a trip through the archive that serves up an hour of killer Queen material”.
